Francisco Sanjurjo's profile

Teacher and Audio Mentor

As an audio teacher at Recording Arts Canada, I have had the privilege of imparting my knowledge and passion for audio, drawing from the invaluable experiences and mentorship I received from amazing engineers in the industry. Throughout my career, I was fortunate to be trained and influenced by exceptional professionals, such as Steven L'noch, Simon Villan (Youngdreadz), Simon Jodoin (engineer of Megarex Studio, Montreal), and Nicolas Palacios, also known as ButtaBeats from the renowned group Nomadic Massive.
Through one-on-one or small group interactions, students feel more at ease to express their questions openly, knowing that their inquiries will be met with patience and expertise. I encourage an interactive and collaborative atmosphere, fostering an environment where students feel empowered to explore, experiment, and actively participate in their learning journey.

Having been mentored by exceptional engineers myself, I understand the transformative impact that personalized guidance can have on a student's development. As an audio educator, I take pride in being a catalyst for their growth, offering not only technical knowledge but also mentorship and encouragement that extends beyond the classroom.

By focusing on one-on-one or small group tutoring, I ensure that each student receives the attention and support they need to overcome challenges, build confidence, and unlock their full potential as audio professionals. It is incredibly rewarding to witness their progress, witnessing their skills flourish, and witnessing their passion for audio flourish under personalized guidance.
I am forever grateful to Steven L'noch, Simon Villan, Simon Jodoin, and Nicolas Palacios for their invaluable contributions to my growth as an audio engineer and educator. Their mentorship has not only enriched my personal journey but has also had a lasting impact on the skills and knowledge I pass on to my students at Recording Arts Canada.

By sharing the lessons and principles instilled in me by these mentors, I aim to inspire my students and help them reach their full potential as audio professionals. The influence of these remarkable engineers is interwoven into my teachings, emphasizing the importance of hands-on experience, continuous learning, and the value of collaboration within the audio community.

In my role as an educator, I am dedicated to nurturing a community of audio enthusiasts who are not only proficient in their craft but also deeply engaged in their learning. The intimate tutoring setting allows me to be a guiding presence in their journey, fostering a sense of camaraderie and instilling in them the values of continual growth and a lifelong pursuit of excellence in the audio field.
